You strip
You quickly decide to do so and take off all your clothes. Your naked
body is so thin, you can see the outline of your ribs. You are very
pale. Your body is swollen, cut, and bruised from all the beatings you
have had. The lady stands there and just watches all of us then
commands us to go out and stand in the court yard. Everyone else is
standing out there naked too. It is spring but we are still freezing
like ice. I see my male teacher naked and my piano teacher naked too.
I am 14 and I am still growing. This is all so terrible. We are going
to have a medical test we are told. We go in line according to our age
groups and get tested. If you are not healthy we get sent to the gass
chambers if we are healthy we work. Luckily I was healthy and so was
my mom. After this we are sent to a room with shower nossles on the
cieling. We have heard that they give you soap pretending that you are
going to have a shower but instead poisonous gas comes out of the
showers. We wait scared huddled in a group. Suddenly the lights go
off. And we all scream. Then you feel luke warm water on your body.
Its shower. You cry in joy not having had a shower in 2 months! The
shower is over after 5 minutes and you are given clothing with stripes
down it. You then are told to follow the person at the front of the
line who is a Nazi soldier. He leads you to a room with chairs and
people with scissors behind the chair. You have to get your hia rcut.
You remeber how you were trying so hard to gorw your hair out since
you were 9. You hair is long and a rich dark brown. They cut your hair
of you curly brown locks falling to the floor. Then you get a coat and
a scaf from the Nazi standing at the door. You are also given a
shovel. They tell you that your job is to dig up a ditch to put bodies
in. Your lie has become hell and you know that eventually you will
probably die here. Your mom gets the same job and you start to work.
Across from you in the distance you see a large narrow building with
black smoke coming out of it. Then you see men and little boys walking
down into a door there. You already know whats supposed to happen to
them now.
