A dull thumping is heard in your head as you grogily wake from your
slumber. You have a science project due next week, plus all of the
other subjects and what not piled over that.
Slowly, you open your eyes...
You are greeted to the sight of a forest.
Your eyes suddenly snap open in alarm.
Where are you? How did you get here? How did this happen? Why?
So many questions that you don't even notice the stump you trip over
as you stumble back in shock.
You soon find your questions at the moment the least of your problems,
as you try to flex your arms, they feel stiff, so you fall to the
ground in a daze. Something attachted to your spine feels like it has
been crushed. Dazed, you wonder why your arms didn't respond. You look
to your arm...
Except the problem is that it isn't and arm.
It is a wing. This only gives you more grief to worry about as you
look to the rest of your body. You find tailfeathers in your tailbone
where none used to reside. The same feathers can be found everywhere
you look. Your legs and feet have changed into shorter but deadly
talons, which you flex as if this were your first time walking.
Turning around, you find a river stream flowing down to an open lake.
With fear shaking your every bone, you slowly approach the river,
stumbling along the way.
Looking in, you find that you are....
