In this village is a girl, she has long dark brown hair, is tan from
the hot sun, and is an orphan. The people of the village said that she
crawled in half dead, got nursed back to health, and was set up as a
worker girl in the tavern. She didn't have a real home, lived on what
she could, and that she came from the direction of Kellent, another
small oasis village across the desert. For this she was called Kell,
short for Kellent. Now, that was ten years ago, and Kell is fourteen,
and has never really thought about much, and yet, has thou
ght about everything.
