"I am." You struggle to form the words. You gasp for breath,
and a quick thought forms in your mind that you feel like a fish far
from water, but it passes swift as the wind that lashes your face now.
"Where are we?"
"We are in my home. Casaler. Welcome." He stands.
"Jalin. Loria." He turns away and seems to be addressing
someone.
You twist your head to see. There! You can see them. Two young elves.
Male and female. The one, Jalin you assume, the male, has long black
hair to his knees, grey eyes like a stormy sea, and skin white as
parchment. He bows regally to you. "My sister," he says,
nodding to Loria. She has white-blonde wavy hair, and white skin, and,
strangely, black eyes (what were you expecting? white?). She also
bows, and nods to Jalin, "My brother."
"These are my servants," Edomiya explains, peering over you,
smiling. "They will serve you as well. And, hopefully, they will
serve you WELL." He laughs, and kisses your forehead. His lips
are soft and warm. You smile and close your eyes. How safe you feel
with him! "I must go now, my sweet, but I will be back--quickly
as the wind flies," he says, and is gone.
"He is very swift," Loria says, and you open your eyes to
see her watching him flee. There is hot love in her eyes. She seems to
have a great temper. You feel strangely sick to your stomach.
"Aye, he is," laughs Jalin. He seems the happier of the two.
You instantly like him. He smiles at you and leans over you.
"Shall I get you something, Milady?"
"No, thanks...
When you awake Edomiya is bending over you. His face is drawn tight,
as if he has not slept for many nights. "Adona? Adona, you are
awake?"
