The Haunted Castle -- page 8

You want to see if Barbara got lost.

You and Dave bike back to the 'shortcut' and follow Barbara's path up the driveway, toward the Castle. Dave shouts and points. He saw something moving inside the old, falling-down mansion.

You get off your bikes and follow Barbara's path slowly. Suddenly- you hear a shriek! It sounds like Barbara!

You both drop your bikes and plunge into the tall grasses in the direction of the noise. With a crash, you run right into Barbara, running in the other direction.

She shrieks and you and Dave yell in surprise. "Guys! I saw a ghost, it came at me, it chased me back here!"

The three of you turn back and run out of the tall grass. You look down and your feet are covered in cobwebs. Yuck!

Barbara's bike is still in the high grass, but you're not going back for it. You race down the driveway and back to the street. You turn for one final look at the Castle, and your neck prickles as you see a white shape fly into a broken window in the house.
