Follow the light!
Once you are close enough to the orb to touch it, you stop to admire
it's beauty. The shining effect comes from thousands, maybe millions,
of tiny gold shards racing around it. Before you can become fully
immersed in it's beauty, however, a hand reaches out from one of the
shards, bigger than the shard itself, grabs you by the leg, and pulls
you into the glimering speck of dust!
Suddenly, gravity is in full effect again. You are lying on your back,
on dry ground. The girl you saw earlier is kneeling over you, a slight
scowl on her face.
"What were you thinking? The Void is dangerous! You shouldn't
stop to enjoy the scenery: You could've been killed!"
What the heck is she talking about!? You're as confused as you've ever
been. Of course, that wasn't saying a whole lot.
Your confusion and anger must've shown on your face, because the girl
dons a grin and says,
"Oh, come on! I'm just teasing you! I know you just got here. You
probably have a lot of questions. I bet I can answer them all. Go
ahead, try me."
Amazed that despite the fact you had to double-check your gender a few
minutes ago, you manage to speak fluently.
"I want to know..."
Which question do you want to ask first?
You start moving towards the glimmering sphere. Not flying, not
swimming, just... hovering. As it draws closer, the orb grows in size,
and you realize that it could be the size of a small planet.
