Little old lady
Everybody turns around to stare at you two.
"Sorry, everybody. Just scared my grandma a little. Nothing to
worry about..." you lie quickly.
As they continue walking again, you pat the lady on the back, and say,
"Scuse me ma'am."
She looks up and says in a hoarse, crackly voice. "What were you
doing..to me (cough!) young...man?"
"Er, ma'am. I'd like to get some diections from you. Do you know
where the closest restaurant is?"
"Yes, lad. It's definitely in this town. Maybe...in this street,
or that street...maybe even that street...perhaps that little street
over there too, and-"
You stop her, and say quickly. "Thank you ma'am. You've been very
helpful to me", and you walk away as quickly as you can.
You decide asking her was a bad idea, so you turn into a street
called...
You walk awkwardly up to the lady, but just before you get to say
something, the old lady clutches at her chest and gives an almighty
scream.
