You slowly begin to take in your surroundings in greater detail.
Besides the seemingly millions of corpses, burnt-out buildings also
remain. Even in the absolute destruction they tower over you. Many
buildings give you a slight jolt, and you are surprised to feel hatred
within you. What could these buildings have meant?
For the first time you look at the sky. It full of glowing smoke, red
from the sun. 'On days like this, it should be blue.' you think. You
then wonder how you could have had such a thought. You know nothing
of your environment, even your own appearance is foreign. You resolve
to find a mirror, or at least a puddle, in which you could see your
own reflection.
As you seek a surface with reflective aspects to it, an object
flutters down from the sky. You lean to pick it up, and discover that
it's...
"Thanks for all the help!" you yell sarcastically. The
soldier does not reply, but continues to run far into the distance
until he disappears.
