He shoots. You close your eyes. You hear a bang, then suddenly a huge
pain surrounds your entire body.
It feels like you're on fire, burning alive. It feels like you have no
skin, and your insides are burning, too. You can barely breathe. I
thought this would be painless, you think, before you fall
asleep.
