" Ahh, Owen, ourrr best customerr!" the well known gangster,
Holt, smiled falsely.
" Don't push it!" Owen grumbled. This was making him very
nervous. Just then two men walked into the shop. One was slightly
taller than the other. The taller one bowed to Holt. Holt muttered
something under his breath and walked towards them.
" Jedi." Owen thought. He had seen Ka'aroan do that
sometimes. He leaned against the counter and watched Holt deal with
the taller Jedi.
Owen felt someone tap his shoulder. it was a Hutt, Gangor, who was
Holt's parter.
" How may I help you?" The Hutt spoke using quite good
english.
" I need an...umm,..what was it?" Owen muttered deep in
thought. How could he forget?
" You're wasting my time human boy!" Gangor growled."
I'd kill you right now if you didn't belong to that lousy girl!!"
" I don't belong to her!!" Owen cried, realizing that the
younger Jedi was watching him." I come and go by my own free
will! It's bad enough that my mother was killed by ugly vile Hutts
like you!!"
Gangor's wide face turned a very deep shade of brown, a sign of anger.
" Don't you dare call me ugly you,..." he grabbed the front
of the boy's shirt getting ready swing his mighty fist in Owen's face.
Out of the corner of his eye, Owen saw the younger Jedi's fingertips
move to his side.
The door swung wide open. Ka'aroan walked in, taking broad strides.
Owen sighed in relief. He wasn't going to get his face punched in by a
Hutt today.
" Let him go Gangor." Ka'aroan said in a soft calm tone.
" The boy stole something!" Gangor said slyly.
" Wha..? I didn't..!!" Owen stuttered. Ka'aroan motioned him
to be quiet.
" I said let the boy go!" Ka'aroan said using a louder tone
now. Owen realized that both Jedi were at the corner of the room
watching them.
" No!!" Gangor shouted and swung his mighty fist toward
owen's face. Owen shut his eyes and prepared for the impact. He hoped
it wouldn't disable him for life.
Ka'aroan was too quick for thew slow Hutt. Her bright green lightsaber
flashing, she dove at Gangor.
The Hutt screamed in pain, his arm lying on the floor. Ka'aroan
switched off her lightsaber and hooked it on her belt.
" I told you to let him go!" she smiled
sadly.
Owen stood at the doorway of a popular gangster dealer. He took a deep
breth and walked in.
