Zoned Out
Snowy and Cerebral woke up the next morning with each a headache.
"Maan! Next time, no de-caff!" said Snowy. "Well
said!" commented Cerebral.They got up. Cerebral had spent the
night at Sparx's hut in the attic with Snowy. They heard a door slam
downstairs, and went to go see who it was.The two foxes went
downstairs and found only Utah, who wore a worried expression on his
face. "Where are they?" he demanded. "We don't
know." replied Cerebral. "They were on their way to visit me
but they didn't show up. The Robians noticed that one of the old
Freedom Fighter 'Robuttnik' traps had been set..."
"Uh-oh..." said Snowy. "The Robians," continued
Utah, " have tried to find them, but even with Uncle Chuck's
help, we couldn't locate them. "So," said Cerebral,
"we're on our own!"The trio agreed, and flew off to
Knothole.
When they arrived, they were greeted by Uncle Chuck. "Utah!"
he said, "thank goodness you brought help. We've found
something!"The robot led them to a hole in the ground that led to
a secret zone. "We tracked their footprints to here" he
said.Without warning, Utah, Snowy, and Cerebral jumped in.
"WAIT!!! We don't know what's in there!" But the warning
came too late, they had entered the zone. "Impulsive, just like
my nephew Sonic..."
Inside the Zone, they guys noticed rings, chaos emeralds, traps, and
platforms. They were about to split up, when they heard an
ear-piercing scream.**HELP**Each heard Ava's cry for help, and sped
off in that direction. They soon found Ava and Roxy crouched over
Sparx's ljkmp body. "What happened?" asked Utah. "We
were on our way to Knothole when we fell into the zone. Ava and I
managed to land softly, but because of her would, Sparx fell
unconscious." said Roxy, her voice filled with concern.Snowy took
a look at Sparx and declared "She's in shock. We need to get her
to a hospical soon, or she may die!!!" Everyone gasped. "We
must find the exit, and fast!" said Cerebral.
Utah, being the strongest, carried Sparx as they trekked in the
direction of the entrance. As soon as they arrived, they noticed that
the entrance was no longer there. "So much for being lazy...we
have to traverse the whole zone..." grumbled Ava. "It had
better be a short one...Sparx ate one too many chili dogs this
morning." commented Utah. An hour later, they were only 1/3
through the zone.**RUMBLE** "Great.." mumbled Roxy. All of a
sudden, the ground beneath Utah's feet started to open. He lost his
balance. He dropped Sparx while he tried to regain his balance. Sparx
dropped into the darkness below. "NO!!!!!!!!!" cried
Cerebral. He used his telekinetic powers, and used them to make Sparx
float up to safety. They all made a run for it. Dodging debris and
traps, they finally made it to the end of the zone. Nothing happened.
"I've had quite enough of this..." said Cerebral. He used
his powers to the max. He used the Chaos Emerald from the zone to
create a portal to escape. With his free hand, he made his friends
through, then he stepped in. They emerged in Echidnapolis. "Oops,
I was aiming for Knothole..." he commented. They rushed Sparx to
the nearest hospital. There they dropped Sparx off while they went and
waited in the lobby. It took a few hours, but soon, the doctors had
revived her, fixed the wound, and released her. "Next time, come
here sooner when your hurt." said the nurse. "I will,
thanx!" replied Sparx. Her friends escorted her to her hut. They
discussed many things. One of the things that came up, was the new
Freedom Fighters group they wanted to form. "Knothole and the
surrounding area has The Freedom Fighters, Downunda has the Downunda
Freedom Fighters (DFF), so how bout our own Freedom Fighter group, the
Island Freedom Fighters. We don't necessary need to only protect the
Island, but the name sounds cool." said Sparx. "Yeah! But
I'd have to move out of Knothole," said Utah, "No matter,
the Robians need more space! There's an abandoned hut not far from
here. Me and Cerebral could move into it!" "Great
idea!" said Cerebral. "Roxy, Ava and I already live on the
Island, and that sounds like a good idea to us." said Snowy.
"IFF Unite!" said all six at the same time.
