Go to Sleep
When you awake, Shoana is nowhere to be seen, but the strange little
guitar is there by your bed. He strums a cheerful chord when he sees
you have awakened. "Ahhh! The Ahmid is feeling better, I can
tell! Shoana is a miracle worker she is! Still, I wasn't too sure if
we were in time, even with her extraordinary powers."
You sit up, an amaziningly, you feel no pain anywhere. You feel your
head, and there are no scars or bumps. You lift your tunic and peer
at your belly, and it is smooth an unbroken, not even the tan is
marred. "How did she...?"
"It is beyond our knowledge to understand the powers of a
Healer," Genned strums, "Just thank the Master that I found
the hyper-path in time. But, the path is beginning to weaken, and if
you are to complete your journey, we must go."
He points to the shimmering door, and it seems fainter than before.
"If we do not go soon, it will disappear altogether, and we will
have to take the long path back to our destination. Come, I will take
you now to the Answerer and at last you will
understand."
You have many questions, but you dig into the strange looking but
wonderful smelling food. After drinking the last of the orange liquid
in the wooden cup, your eyelids begin to feel heavy and you lay back
on the warm fur.
