At the ship..
" Almost there." she said turning her head.
When they were about fifteen paces from the ship, Ka'aroan turned
around and scanned the valley. Something wasn't right.
" Errr Thaaaaa!!!" came a battle cry from some rocks. The
Jedi instanly switched on their lightsabers. More native Elothians
surrounded them. They glared at the Jedi.
Suddenly, one of the Elothians grabed an eurite blaster and fired on
Ka'aroan. She crouched down, lightsaber above her head to take the
impact.
Even though she was braced against a rock, the force of the hit on her
lightsaber almost threw her of her feet.
" Don't let them catch you off guard!" she yelled as
blasters fired all around them, making the red dust billow. The air
was filled with Elothian jabber and an occasional zing of a
lightsaber....
Obi Wan deflected a ground shacking eurite blast. If a tiny whisper of
a blast touched him, it would mean a painful death. He felt a slight
tug on his arm. It was the boy, Owen, ion blaster in hand.
" Get on the ship!" he shouted, coughing on the thick red
dust surrounding them. Obi Wan took a running leap and was in the
cargo bay of the ship. Qui Gon was already there. A split second later
Ka'aroan jumped on.
" Geez, you think they might have heard, about Gangor?" Owen
asked closing the bay door.
" I don't know, the natives don't usually associate with Hutts or
other foreigners." Ka'aroan answered. " And why is the ship
moving? I thought Reinard was still working on the controlls!"
" Slight change of plans!" Reinard shouted from the
cockpit." We're flying without a shield!"
" Let's hope the Elothians don't have space cruisers!" Obi
Wan sighed, as they walked into the cockpit.
" I'm making the jump to lightspeed!" Reinard said. "
Ka'aroan, hold the two wires together!"
" Great," Ka'aroan rolled her eyes jokingly as she crouched
down," We're going to travel in hyperspace with a half dead
engine. Let's hope we don't get caught in a space rift again!"
" And, come out at the other end of the galaxy in
Bandomeer!" Owen added." And get me kidnapped by a space
gang ! Again!"
" Kidnapped by a space gang?" Qui Gon asked." You
certainly have a very reliable captain."
" We make do!" Ka'aroan said careful not to let the sparks
from the cords hit her as the ship sped across the
galaxy...
Ka'aroan walked across the red valley sand, the two Jedi behind her.
Owen ran ahead, leaving clouds of dust behind him. Ka'aroan could
glimpse the silvery metal of their ship.
