"Kero!" she said. Seems names can't be changed in other
languages. "Lampshades swiftly jump. Affordably--"
"Don't try to talk, Sakura," a voice said in her head.
"The more you talk, the more the Language Card will try to jumble
your thoughts."
Sakura saw that Kero was staring at her as she thought this.
"Kero, are you telepathic?" she thought back.
"Not usually. This is taking a lot out of the little power I
have right now, so I can't say much. Concentrate really hard, and you
won't fall into the spell."
Serena thought hard, and finally, she managed to say,
"Release!" The staff must have been lenient under the
circumstances, because it appeared to her. "Shadow!" she
commanded. The card was released. It tried to fight the glow, but it
won.
Lee, meanwhile, was trying to find his tongue. He finally managed to
say, "Time!" Time froze, and he picked up the book that
caused the trouble. All that came of it, though, was that the light
once more exploded. Lee was caught in the spell.
"Lee!" Sakura cried out in despiration. "Sword!"
Her staff became a sword, but when she tried to cut the book up into
many pieces, the sword flew out of her hands. She found it lying in a
secluded place in the library.
"What happened?" she screamed in her mind.
"Haven't you heard the addage 'The pen is mightier than the
sword?'" Kero answered.
"But what can I do?"
"The Language Card will only answer to one other Clow Card, and
it does not use brute force."
"What card do I have like that?"
Then she saw a librarian. She looked as confused as everyone else,
but she kept trying to calm the others. She had her finger firmly
pressed against her lips, and she told everyone the same thing,
"Shhhh!"
"That's it!" Sakura thought.
"Sakura!" a voice called out. Sakura looked up.
