Meanwhile..
A tall strong Jedi Knight walked through the long halls of the
outpost. It was on Tarun, a blue planet on the outskirts of the Egreth
galaxy. The lone Jedi stopped at a door. He knocked three times.
" Enter!" a low voice called out. The Jedi swung the door
open and walked in, taking long strides.
" Let him go," The Jedi said gritting his teeth. " It's
me you want!"
" Aragon, Aragon," A man stepped out from the dark shadows.
" You and I both know Xarag wants only one thing."
" You make me sick with your riddles Xanatos!" Aragon said
louder." I have no clue!"
Xanatos laughed " If you want your apprentice, it's already too
late!" He vanished into the shadows again.
Aragon pounded his hand on the tough metal on the wall. How was he
ever going to get Corwin back?!!...
Back on the ship..
"You remind me of someone." Obi Wan said to Ka'aroan as they
worked on the ship's shield.
" Really?" Ka'aroan asked. " Who?"
Obi Wan sat back from under the dashboard a dead womp rat in his hand.
" Someone from long ago." he said throwing it away."
" Could it be someone from the Temple?" Ka'aroan said with a
hint of a smile.
" Of course!!" Obi Wan exclaimed. " You were that.. You
were that girl that helped us find our weapons when we were kidnapped
by the Black Eye!!"
" The one and only!" Ka'aroan answered. " I was waiting
for it to hit.
Just then a jet black krait wolf stalked into the cabin. With a growl
he pounced on Ka'aroan!!
" Lightfoot, stop!!" Ka'aroan shouted. Obi wan felt a strong
wave of the Force emmiting from Ka'aroan as she looked deeply into the
wolf. It stopped dead in midair, and fell to the floor whining softly.
It crouched low in a corner.
" How did you did you ever stop him?" Obi Wan asked. Krait
Wolf were giant creatures whose mind opposed the Force directly. It
was impossible to controll their minds. Unless you could reach into
the energy around you and form a direct telepathic connection. It was
practically impossible for regular Jedi Knights. Unless you were an
Etier, that is.
" That's impossible!!" Obi Wan heard himself saying. Etiers
died out a long time ago! The last one was killed by the Dark Lord
Xarag......."
As Owen, the Jedi, and Reinard, were flying through the galaxy,
something was happening hundreds of light years away...
