Barbara comes to and sees the cat and sees you sprawled on the grass.
She cries out. You tilt your head up in time to see her running
towards you and she attacks you in a bear hug with "You saved my
life!" And while you know you did, it was all her fault. Dave
runs up with nobody and you roll your eyes at him. "What
happened?" He asked. "I saved her life." You say
nonchalantly. He obviously missed the giant cat laying unresponsively
beside you. "WHAT?" He embraces Barbara and her breath
catches in her throat. 'Here we go...' you think to yourself. You roll
your eyes to nobody but yourself and bike off towards the baseball
diamond alone and ready to play.
