" Enter!" the Dark Jedi growled.
Xanatos entered the room, " Master..." he bowed, but was cut
short when the Dark Jedi's red lightsaber stopped milimeters from his
neck.
" How dare you come back without the girl!!" he barked.
" I thought you knew the consequences!"
" I am terribly sorry, Lord Xarog!" Xanatos stammered.
" I could get no information from Aragon! I searched the
galaxy!"
" There are other galaxies...." Lord Xarog said using a
dangerously soft voice.
" I know, but the most I could get was her name!" Xanatos
was beginning to sweat.
" Her name," Xarog exclaimed sarcastically " That is
going to be of tremendous help to me! Vere well waste your
breath." he switched off his lightsaber.
Xanatos sighed in pure relief. " It's Ka'aroan..." he said.
" Lousy if you ask me!"
Lord Xarog whirled around eyes red." Did I ask you?!!!!" he
pressed Xanatos against the wall. Suddenly he let go.
" No matter my witless servant..." he said
thoughtfully." It maybe lousy to you but, how could one pathetic
girl escape my tremendous power? I killed her father, and I killed
other tougher ones. She is the very last Etier..... She should be easy
to kill."
" But what about, Aragon?" Xanatos asked.
" Aragon!" Lord Xarog spat at the name." That pathetic
man is no longer a threat to me!! I will kill him in good time. And
his apprentice too!"
" We have the apprentice master," Xanatos smiled, " If
you want I'll...."
" Leave me!" Lord Xarog interrupte him. " I'll tend to
that manner later." He faced the window of his chamber, turning
away from Xanatos........
Back on the ship......
.......so that's when I was taught by a very old Jedi Master. Many
people thought he was crazy."
" Was he?" Obi Wan asked.
Ka'aroan gave him a look.
" Sorry, Keep going." Obi Wan apologized.
" So then, I heard about Darian starting the Black Sight, and I
decided to go after him. I heard he was on a transport so I sneaked
in. I was running after him, when you and Corwin came in."
Obi Wan barely remembered Corwin. He was a boy at the Jedi Temple.
Later they both got kidnapped by the Black Sight. When they returned
to the Temple Corwin had run away.
" Then I had to direct you guys to the weapononry room."
Ka'aroan was saying." And I left because it was useless to try
and catch Darian. Later I went back to my training and took the
trials. On my first mission, I had to escort a transport. That's where
I met Reinard and Owen. I've been with them ever since."
There was something that was bothering her, Obi Wan could tell.
" Ka'aroan, " he asked suddenly." How did your father
die?"
She looked down at the floor. " He was betrayed by his best
friend! He was turned over to Lord Xarog! I heard he died saving me.
But that was all 18 years ago."
" What was the betrayor's name?" Obi Wan asked.
" Aragon, of Tiloth!" Ka'aroan said eyes
flashing.
In his chamber a Dark Jedi paced impatiently. His dark eyes
practicaly glowed with fury. There was a knock.
