A servant is being blackmailed
"You think maybe we could try to get her to tell?" you ask.
"Maybe. The worst that could happen is that she'd be sent to
jail, and Chris and I have set aside money since we knew Annie just in
case she got caught, so we could bail her out. Do you think we
should?"

"It's one of the servants--Annie," Nurse Johnson tells you.
"A Cockney girl, very sweet and helpful. She says she knows
things, but she can't tell because of blackmail. Someone is
threatening to reveal that she's been stealing food from the kitchen.
Poor thing's always hungry, and Chris and I help out when we can,
but...oh, if only Annie could tell what she knows!"
