" I could have done it like that!" huffed Owen. Reinard had
been firm about not letting him land the ship.
" You would have except you can't budge the generator
lever!" Ka'aroan joked turning to face the boy.
" Soon I'll be able to!!" Owen objected. " I'm a
growing kid!!" he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
Ka'aroan turned her head again to watch the Malastaire spaceport. She
had forgotten how green the planet was. Bulbs sprouted from cracks in
the roads, snapping at occasional passerbys. Some tall stalks towered
over Jawas who were trying to sell ion blasters. Other species ran
scattered about. It all seemed like a regular crowded landing field.
And yet..... Ka'aroan frowned. She had a strange feeling about this
whole buisness. Like there was something on this planet that she would
not want to face.
" Is something wrong?" somebody asked her. Ka'aroan snapped
back to attention and turned around. Obi Wan stood behind her.
" Not really." Ka'aroan replied. " Something tells me
that you should be careful in this place. That's all."
" Careful of what?" asked Obi Wan. " Mace Windu running
toward our ship?" he smiled.
Ka'aroan peered out. Obi Wan was right. The Jedi Master was in fact,
running towards them looking flustered. The two Jedi ran out to meet
him.
Ka'aroan stood watching Reinard land the ship in a grassy spaceport on
Malastaire. Owen stood sulking in a corner. Reinard flipped a switch
shutting the main engines down and turned on the new hyper generator
in one smooth motion.
