You turn back for Dave
Barbara is too scared to turn back, but Dave is your best friend and he needs your help. Just as fast as you left, you return. Where Dave used to be, you find no traces of him. You run to the spot where the pillar was, but all you see are weeds, and dirt. You never see Dave again.
