"The Plan"
"Well, not really. Do you, Dave?" you say.
"No. When I realized that guy could be following us, I just
started running. I wasn't thinking about where we were going,"he
replied.
"Well, we could do one of two things,"said Barbara. "We
could either keep going and see if we could find this 'treasure' or
whatever it is, or, we could leave right now, and forget this ever
happened."
"It may seem stupid," you say,"but I think that we
should stay and see if we can find this 'treasure'. What if it is
stolen, or what if this whole little escapade is endangering someone?
What if, by finding this thing, we could save someone's life? Maybe
the x marks the spot where this guy buried old Mrs. Macafees jewels.
You know that they were stolen about a week and a half ago. Or else
maybe he's a kidnapper, and that's wher he's hiding Lauren Palley. She
was kidnapped three weeks ago, and the police haven't been able to
find her yet. Come on you guys. We could end up really helping
somebody!"
"Let's take a vote,"says Dave. "I vote we go home and
forget this ever happened."
"I vote we stay and finish this hunt,"you reply."What
do you say Barbara?"
"I think that we shoud..."
"OK, Well, first of all, do either of you know where we
are?"
