The name sounds familiar to you, and then you remember a documentary
you watched back before you traveled to the past called "Gimme
Shelter", about a Rolling Stones concert where a guy got beaten
to death right in front of the stage, as the band played on. A knot
forms in the pit of your stomach.
You realize that you can't tell them you're from the future and know
what's going to happen, they'll just think you're crazy or on acid.
So you say, "I've got a bad feeling about this. I think we
should just go home."
"And miss the Rolling Stones?" Jane says. "You're
nuts!"
"Not to mention the Grateful Dead," one of her friends says.
"I heard that the Hell's Angels are going to be the only
security," you say. "That's worse than no security at
all."
"Yeah, I heard that too," another of Jane's friends says.
"WE ARE NOT GOING HOME," Jane says. "I've NEVER seen
the Stones perform. I'll die if I can't see Mick Jagger, that man is
GOD."
When you show up for the concert you find out that so many people
showed up, the concert is being moved outside the city to a town
called Altamont.
