"Then, that must be your name." The girl said uncertainly.
He sighed and said, "Prehaps, but I guess it can be my identity
for the time being until I remember my old one." Suddenly, the
boy began shaking and his eyes closed, sweat ran down his brow as the
desert fever started taking over his body. "Tyle!" Kell
cried and quickly ran over to where she had a herb that might help the
fever to stop.
Everyone in Olp had the plant of gyin, it was used to hopefully
prevent the death of those with the fever upon them that came to the
village. It was a sweet smelling green plant dried for the remedy and
crushed for the smell. Tons of it grew on the hills of the oasis but
was always stored in case it ran out.
She quickly grabbed the plant and crumbled it up. Then returning to
her patient she sprinkled it into the boy's gapeing mouth which was
trying to force air into is lungs. After she got him to swallow the
crumbs, Kell took his wrist and tested his pulse, which was throbbing
rapidly, but soon slowed. Kell breathed a huge sigh of belief and let
his wrist go. The boy had stopped shaking and his chest was rising at
a normal rate now. The herb had worked, it only had worked three times
since Kell had came to Olp and she wasn't sure if it could save his
life or not. Just after she put the remaining pieces of the plant back
the strange man walked in.
