Well, duh, you think. If you want information on a specific person,
you look through their personal belongings. If they don't have
personal belongings--which you don't--you go to that person's files.
Files...files...that would mean somebody's office. You start walking
rather aimlessly down a marble hall full of statues whose eyes seem to
follow you and try to think of where to go. If the school had a hall
of records...
"Well, hello there. Are you new here?"
You whip around. "Who said that?"
"Over here."
You blink. Maybe you're going crazy, because one of the statues--a
red-faced male with dark hair and high cheekbones--just talked!
You tiptoe toward the statue. "Um..." You clear your throat.
"Did you just say something?"
He nods. "Yes," he says, and actually offers a marble hand.
"I am Lord Parazelrome, and these are some friends." He
gestures to the other statues. "Can we help you?"
You are so shocked you have to think. Do you talk to Lord Parazelrome,
talk to another statue, run out of the room, or something else
altogether?
As intriguing as this whole kidnapping business sounds, you think, you
must, at all costs, get your memory back. You need some form of
information about who your parents were and why killers were after
you--but where to get it?
